01. The experience
THE Chair operates The Chair, an independent business decision game at thechair.academy. A membership gives you access to interactive scenarios based on public business history, evidence files, simulated decisions and consequences, and a saved decision record.
Contender includes 17 scenarios. The Chair membership includes all 51 scenarios in the current library. Tesla opens first; later cases unlock as you complete earlier cases. An active membership and an internet connection are required to play full cases. The homepage preview is available without payment.
Cases are educational simulations. Dialogue, choices, consequences, and scores are designed for the game. They do not establish that a player would outperform a real executive and do not constitute business, investment, or professional advice. The Chair is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tesla, Elon Musk, or any company or person portrayed. Artwork is illustrative.
02. Your account
Use an email address you control. A sign-in code gives you access to your account; keep codes private and do not share your account. Your membership and saved progress are linked to that account so you can return on another device.
You are responsible for having permission to use the payment method you provide. Contact us if you believe someone has used your account or purchased without your authorization.
03. Pricing & renewal
All advertised prices are in US dollars. Contender is $19 per month or $66 per six months. The Chair is $29 per month or $102 per six months. The billing period you select and the full amount due are shown before you pay.
Daily prices are comparisons, not daily charges. Monthly equivalents use 30 days; six-month equivalents use 180 days. The full monthly or six-month amount is collected at checkout and renews automatically for the same billing period until canceled. Any applicable tax collected at checkout is shown before payment.
Purchases use Stripe Managed Payments and are sold through Link. The seller and payment terms are identified at checkout. Receipts, invoices, and payment-related emails come from Link; your payment statement may identify Link. Checkout may offer an amount in your local currency. Review the final currency, tax, and total before you confirm. A subscription begins when payment is confirmed. Creating an account or playing the free preview does not start a paid subscription. There is no automatic paid trial.
04. Cancel anytime
You can cancel future renewals through Manage billing in your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access through the period you have already paid for. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid that charge.

05. 14-day refund policy
If The Chair is not for you, you may request a refund within 14 days of the payment you want refunded. Email thechaircademy@gmail.com and include the email used at checkout and, if available, your receipt reference.
A refund is returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on Stripe and your payment provider. Access associated with a refunded payment may end when the refund is processed. To stop future charges, cancel renewal through Manage billing or ask us to cancel it in your refund request.
This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights or remedies available through Link. You can also contact Link support for payment, subscription, or refund questions. The Chair remains your contact for the game, account access, and our 14-day refund offer.
06. Fair use of the game
Your membership is for your own use. Do not share paid access, copy or resell the case library, disrupt the service, bypass access controls, or present our scenarios as official company materials. Public sources linked inside a case remain the property of their respective owners.
You retain ownership of the explanations you write. We use them to run the game, save your progress, and provide feedback as described in our Privacy Policy. Avoid entering confidential business information or sensitive personal information into gameplay responses.
07. Availability & changes
We may correct cases, improve the game, and perform maintenance. Access may occasionally be interrupted. If a payment or access problem prevents you from using your membership, contact us so we can investigate.
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Any material change affecting a paid membership will be communicated before it takes effect. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
